Dr. Phillip Johnson weighs in on the Grand Canyon controversy which began in the latter part of 2003.
The controversy stems from a slim book, written from the creationist prespective on the formation of the Grand Canyon. The old-earth geologists could not stand a dissenting view in a Grand Canyon bookstore. However, as Dr. Johnson points out, even the Los Angeles Times wrote that there are dissenting views as to the formation of the Grand Canyon amongst non-religious geologists. Some take the uniformitarian position while others embrace a more catastrophic formation of the canyon.
