With a Ph.D. in Physics from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Ancient Near Eastern Studies, from the Annenberg Research Institute, Dr. John Bloom is Director of the Master of the Arts in Science and Religion program, Biola University, and Professor of Physics, at Biola University. He has written such articles as "On Human Origins: A Survey, Why Isn't the Evidence Clearer?" and "Finding Truth in Religion: Is There a Factual Basis?"
J. P. Moreland is Distinguished Professor of Philosophy, Talbot School of Theology, Biola Yniversity. He has a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Southern California. With degrees in philosophy, theology and chemistry, Dr. Moreland has taught theology and philosophy at a number of schools througout the U.S. He has authored or contributed to forty books, including Christianity and the Nature of Science, Scaling the Secular City, Does God Exist?, and Love Your God with All Your Mind. He has written more than sixty articles. Dr. Moreland served with Campus Crusade for Christ for ten years, planted two churches, and has spoken on more than one hundred college campuses.
This program was recorded at the "Intelligent Design and the Future of Science" conference held at Biola University, April 22-24, 2004. Speakers included noted philosophers and scientists, such as Michael J. Behe, John A. Bloom, Walter Bradley, William A. Dembski, Garrett DeWeese, Guillermo Gonzales, Craig Hazen, Phillip E. Johnson, Jed Macosko, Stephen Meyer, J.P. Moreland, Fazale Rana, John Mark Reynolds, Hugh Ross, Henry "Fritz" Schaefer, III; Jonathan Wells, and others. Topics addressed recent advances in biochemistry, astrophysics, and psychology.
